
AWANA is here to lead kids to know, love and serve Christ through long term discipleship. Every week leaders have an opportunity to work with ages: 3 – 5th grade in helping clubbers find God’s purpose for their lives in our fun, relational, Scripture-filled teaching experiences and activities. Baptism assists new believers in the various steps for baptism preparation and follow-up. The follow up includes visits and personal contact to encourage spiritual growth.

Bereavement prepares meals for funerals held at the church in order to support, serve, and bless families during their time of loss.

Building & grounds is responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of the church grounds, landscaping, and buildings. In addition, this team also helps to organize volunteer work days at the church.

Deacons are a congregationally recommended list of men that are then selected to serve the church body as described in the Bible as it relates to the New Testament church. Chairman: Jeremy Fowler
Discipleship team provides teaching and training that helps each individual in the congregation to deepen their faith, discover where they are in spiritual growth, to mature in Christ, to discover their spiritual gifts and to find a place of ministry. In addition, the team facilitates member connections and fellowship within the church.

Fall Festival is an annual event held in October that provides activities, entertainment, and evangelistic opportunities to approximately 5,000 people in the Ridge area. This large outreach event requires a large volunteer base and the solicitation of donations from the church body and community.

Feed the Ridge is an annual event held in the spring. This ministry works with local churches and Publix Supermarkets to purchase, package, and load foods purchased by members for food banks in the area such as A House Blest and The Mission of Winter Haven.

Finance is an appointed ministry team that meets monthly with the pastors and appropriate staff personnel to discuss the overall financial status of the church and associated entities.

Habitat for Humanity partners with same entitled nonprofit, Christian housing ministry. This team builds and/or repairs houses in the Ridge area by providing volunteer labor and donations. This ministry teams believes that every person should have a decent, safe, and affordable place to live.

Home-bound Ministry a caring team that ministers to the elderly and sick members of the community with dignity and respect, offering compassionate care, prayer and encouraging a sense of belonging and connection to the Body of Christ.

Kid’s Church is a corporate worship experience option using age appropriate curriculum and activities for children kindergarten through third grade. Our mission is to share the gospel with the lost and encourage followers of Christ to read and apply Bible Truths and to be fishers of men.

Security team is a group of men that assume the responsibility of locking all doors, setting building alarms and securing the campus after church meetings and/or activities.

Missions ministry exists to share the love and message of Christ with the world through organized annual domestic and/or international mission trips. This team also solicits contributions to meet the needs of each specific trip.

Operation Christmas Child is a year-round event culminating in November. This ministry various collects items to fill as many shoeboxes as possible to be shipped to children around the world. This is an evangelistic and mission oriented ministry working with Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child. NorthRidge is a regional collection center for our area.

Prayer Team exists to deepen and strengthen the church’s focus on prayer in order to more fully follow Christ’s. This will be accomplished through prayer, education done through small groups, structuring and/or calendaring prayer focuses for the congregation, and creating prayer teams to target specific needs and/or goals.

Senior Adult Ministry team members should have a passionate heartbeat for lost people, a desire to learn, and assist the Senior Adult Minister in planning activities that lifts senior adults up, accents the positive purpose of late life, and connects them with God’s abundant grace.

Ushers serve the church by collecting the offering each week, help visitors find their seats in the sanctuary, and, if necessary, provide additional seating.

Vacation Bible School is an annual outreach event that occurs in the summer for children ages 4 through grade 5. This ministry provides children an opportunity to hear excellent teaching from God’s Word during a fun-filled week. A central Bible theme, combined with an “adventure” theme make for an exciting week of evangelism and discipleship. Meaningful music, creative crafts and super skits are just some of the great activities children enjoy as they learn what it means to have faith in Christ.

Volunteers in Preschool provides quality childcare for children ages birth thru four years old during the Sunday morning worship service with biblical teaching and activities that are age appropriate. Located in cheerful and child-friendly facilities.

Worship team leads the congregation in praise and worship each week through three different venues
• Audio/Visual team manages the sound, video, and lighting during the worship service and other church events.
• Drama Team creates, produces, and performs dramas that enhance the worship experience.
• Band/Vocalists lead the congregation in praise and worship every. Experienced musicians and singers with a heart for worship are encouraged to inquire about joining the team.

Welcome team is comprised of greeters that welcome people to church, answers questions for visitors, and distributes bulletins at each of the church entrances. In addition, there is a foyer team that remains in the foyer to assist late arrivals and those needing assistance of various kinds during the worship service.
