Fall Festival - October 28th from 3-6 pm at Lake Eva Park * indicates required field Name:* Email:* Phone Number: The Popcorn Team will be responsible to represent Christ and NorthRidge Church in the preparation and distribution of popcorn during the Fall Festival Event at Lake Eva Park. The team members will have the opportunity to serve a snack and have brief conversations with the festival attendees. The ideal candidates for this role are those who see serving others as a privilege and/or those who enjoy a casual conversation and find it easy to offer a word of encouragement. This team is an integral part of the overall mission of the Fall Festival in that it demonstrates what Jesus said, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40) The Game Team will be responsible to represent Christ and NorthRidge Church in the set up and running of game booths during the Fall Festival Event at Lake Eva Park. The team members will have the opportunity to interact with children and parents as they play the games. The ideal candidates for this role are those who see smiling at children and offering kind words of encouragement as a privilege. They will oversee the playing of the game and keep things running smoothly. This team is very important in what we want to accomplish with the Fall Festival with a joyful heart....."yet I will rejoice in The Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior." (Habakkuk 3:18) The Welcome Team will be the first face most will see when they arrive and the last face they will see as they depart the Fall Festival. They will assist in greeting people and offering them information on booths, food, and other activities. Welcome Centers will be located at multiple locations surrounding the park so that people may quickly identify someone to assist them when there is a need present. Realizing these needs are sometimes spiritual in nature, Welcome Team members may also take the opportunity to pray with attendees and direct them to someone to guide them further in their spiritual journey. The ideal candidates for this role are those who love people and have a discerning spirit about them; someone who is outgoing and knows how to smile… “A glad heart makes a happy face.” (Proverbs 15:13) The Jump House Team will be responsible to represent Christ and NorthRidge Church in the assistance, timing, and order of children and families while participating in the Jump Houses at the Fall Festival Event at Lake Eva Park. The team members will have the opportunity to serve families by maintaining order and safety by assisting children into the jumpy, timing the session, and assisting with exiting. The ideal candidates for this role are those who see safety as a priority while at the same time are able to offer a word of encouragement to waiting families. This team is an integral part of the success of our event by maintaining a safe and fun experience for children and families. “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37 The Evangelism Team will spend the day interacting in an intentional effort to build opportunities to share their faith. The team members will walk among the Fall Festival crowd attempting to build relationships. While this team will not be responsible to man a booth, they will have the freedom to spend the afternoon utilizing various methods to present the gospel in a brief and clear presentation. The ideal candidates for this role are those who have a passion to see people come to faith in Christ. It is not mandatory for this candidate to have been trained in evangelism, but they need to be willing to learn and willing to engage in conversation with people they will likely not know. This team is an integral part of the mission of the Fall Festival since the ultimate goal of our efforts is to evangelize our city, thus fulfilling our mandate, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations . . .” (Matthew 28:19a) The Water Team will be responsible to represent Christ and NorthRidge Church in the preparation and distribution of water during the Fall Festival Event at Lake Eva Park. The team members will have the opportunity to serve a refreshing bottle of water and have brief conversations with the festival attendees. The ideal candidates for this role are those who see serving others as a privilege and/or those who enjoy a casual conversation and find it easy to offer a word of encouragement. This team is an integral part of the overall mission of the Fall Festival in that it demonstrates what Jesus said, when you offer a cup of cold water in my name . . . “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40) The Prayer Team is responsible for bathing our event in prayer. We will be praying for the members of our church, preschool, and academy who are volunteering at the Fall Festival. This team will also be praying for the community attending the Fall Festival. During this event, many people will be hearing the Gospel, some of them hearing it for the first time. Today, we get to act out the apostle Paul’s words to the church of Thessalonica “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Also during the event, members of the Prayer Team will be praying for the event in the prayer room at the church. The Face Painting Team has the privilege of engaging and interacting with children attending the Fall Festival, loving on small children is one of the best ways to show God’s love. The ideal candidates for this role are those who are out going, wear a giant smile and love children. This team is an integral part of the overall mission of the Fall Festival in that it demonstrates what Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37 The Tear Down Team is responsible for disassembling games, loading items to be brought back to the church, and picking up debris after the Fall Festival. The breakdown process is organized and each group will be given direction for their specific area of tear down. Additional helpers are needed to return to the church and unload/put away items.
